I've got a not well formed idea and wanted to kick it off here.
Given we have the bicycle riding sickness and we own travel trailers, vans etc. why not meet up someplace, ride bikes, cook over a fire and have a good time?

I changed jobs this year and have just enough vacation to cover the holidays with my kid when he's off from Annapolis. Next year I'll have the metric shit-tonne of vacation days I negotiated with my job. I think I'll start with renting a trailer for long weekends and figure out how it works for me and help refine what I actually want or need. I've got a new Ford Expedition that will tow 9300 pounds so I have a good range of trailers to consider. For gatherings, I'm pretty remote so I'd probably have to drive some distance. I've got one week of vacation already planned for next year, a week long canoe trip in Labyrinth Canyon in Utah.
Don't gots no van or trailer (sometimes I wish I kept the Element) but if you ever do something in upstate I do have a tent and a sleeping bag and I'll bring the fire and maybe some fire water.
And a couple bikes, of course.
I like the cut of your jib.
Y'all have more flexibility than I do, but I'll watch this space.
Watch this space Matt and Bill too.
Bought my dream car a few weeks ago. Ford Econoline. This thing rules. When better outfitted as our family camper it's gonna rule even more. Will also keep tabs.
Will you accept a guy with a 100 series Land Cruiser with a awning and a sleeping platform as part of your tribe?
Just did a line of NFS lube so I am in.
Not sure if this belongs in the Automobiles thread, but I need to put it somewhere, so here's good for the moment. The beginnings of my family adventure vehicle. The Van's nice too.

Nice van. #vanlife, it's a thing and we dig that.

An air conditioned place to sleep for those West TX summers...winters, springs, falls. A/C is never out of style here.
I did not build it. T@G is the brand. nuCamp T@G Teardrop Trailers | General RV
It is only me that travels, my wife has some health issues. It works pretty well for my needs. Has a little kitchen out back. Queen size bed inside (not sure it is TooTall compatible) but at 5'7" not an issue for me.
Twenty degree weather forecast for the weekend means I had to winterize the trailer today. It doesn't really take that much to do, but it bums me out, as it is a sign that our camping season is over for the year. How soon till spring?
Same here Dan. I've come to the dark side and use a air compressor to blow water out of the lines only. It is nice to not deal with the pink stuff.
I'm already planning on doing some dry camping this winter and am 60/40 to head for Fl again where I'll ride for a week than hit Dustin's Middle Georgia Epic. Last year I did this and stopped somewhere and de-winterized at some gdforsaken place.
