12" in my driveway when I went out an hour ago, and it's still coming down fast. Everything is pretty much shut down up here.
75-80 mph gusts in P-town!
As I understand it, the South Shore coastal towns (Scituate) are going to pretty much get wiped out.
Some of the coastal communities in ma called for an evacuation. Full moon, a high tide and a storm like this is quite a combination... Between that chaos and the show to the west we are just getting 40+ wind gusts and rain.
We are getting snow and driving rain simultaneously.
Here in Western MA hilltowns the snowfall totals are visibly different as you drive- not recommended but I had to- up and down the hills. At 1700' we have better than 9", with heavy, wet snow falling hard.
Rain here in Concord, NH. Winds a little gusty but if I didn't know there was a storm off the coast I wouldn't even give it notice.
Might change to snow later tonight, perhaps 3 inches of the wet sloppy stuff.
-- be safe and remember that our porch-light is always on...

Looks like it's tapering off here now.
At my place, I think we ended up somewhere in the 12-14" range. Downtown is several hundred feet lower, and they appeared to only have about 8-10" late this afternoon.

Looks like snow shot out of a cannon.

Those windows only leak when it rains. Whatcha complainin' 'bout?
They leak all the time. Snow, wind, rain. The outside brick is not sealed well. The windows are not sealed well. The water gets behind the wall and comes up under the cheap wood flooring. The mold fauna is really starting to come in because it is so damp. I bet DavidS is glad he never bought a condo here and I am glad we are in the rental tower.

Might as well stick with a theme:

Going to be sunnier on one side of the house, three big branches off a pine. On the other side one pulled the cable wire off and while I was tacking it back up and nailing back some of the siding another snapped and hit the power feed, but that's made of sterner stuff. About a foot of paste here but maybe three feet just west of here. It's fun riding up on the hill when there's snow like that.
It was a good day to pull an Assynt.
