Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
Bee-ah-utiful morning here.
Empty gravel lanes.
Brand new brake pads on a clean bike.
Wife in a skirt!!!!
Some days I almost have to pinch myself.
TT, I sold my Dad's unused in-the-ground hoop system to another dad and his son recently. I'm not sure which one was more excited.

I did the good dad thing and went up to feed her. Sure, it meant I watched the fog descend a little thicker, and that I didn't get to work early, but heck, it was worth it. Does my wife a solid by letting her sleep.
I dropped my daughter at the bus station this morning, seeing her off to the second half of her sophomore year. I got to spend some quality time with her over her (ridiculously long) break, helped her edit her internship & semester abroad applicatons, watched a lot of "West Wing" together and generally hung out. Just got a text: "Here! Love you :)"
Enjoy boys.

No doubt. Having a 13-year-old as well, I definitely know how fast it all flies by. High school, dating, teen-age angst all coming too soon.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
I just rolled in from skiing 27k with two buds, followed by afternoon happy hour at a local spot.

Now I think I'm going to head out skijoring.
I have accomplished zero work today, and I like it.

It has been a disturbingly nice winter here in the bay area. Riding a new to me road bike in shorts and jersey, and its payday :)

One more post-game Shermanesque trash talk rehearsal with my 8yr old son tonight then it's game on tomorrow at 9am. Imma shut you little dribble bitches up real quick. Hawkeyes goin' 4-0.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
Suck it - great ride last night and I am heading to the mountains for two days of skiing and drinking. Sunday afternoon will be killer when all the drones leave early to settle into their lazy-boys to watch the "game"

For maybe the second time in 10 years at my current employer they did something they weren't contractually obligated to do.
I remain speechless. They did mention desperation in staffing.... Let the pilot shortage begin!

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
I'm having way more fun lately riding my road bike with 41mm knobbies than riding my mountain bike. I don't get it, but I like it.

Today is my daughter's 20th birthday. She's a sophomore too. Tuesday night she introduced a speaker at the State of the Commonwealth speech, and it was pretty amazing seeing her all poised up in front of the General Court and all the bigwigs. Far cry from 7 lbs. 12 oz.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
Probably not skiing on Sunday, even though Superbowl Sunday is made for skiing. The girls are busy around home and I want to be with them. I am excited for breakfast out and board games and the Sunday market and other little things.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
Since 2000 or so, I've wanted a Pegoretti Custom Team in superman colors.
On January 16, 2013, I passed on a Pegoretti Custom Team in superman colors (because I'd just bought a Colnago).
Yesterday, the friendly Salonista who bought it offered me that same Custom Team at a great price.
Today, I own a Pegoretti Custom Team.
