We'll see what happens when the 2 boxes they have run out. I suspect they'll be replaced with Tastycakes...

1. Good workout this morning, yoga practice in about 3 hours
2. Finished writing up my 6 employees' reviews
3. Picking up my repainted Coconino tomorrow
4. Looking forward to gluten free pizza for dinner and a nice glass of Petite Syrah.
5. Three day weekend and I get to leave work early.
Yeah, life is good.

1. Seeing an old friend for the first time in months tonight.
2. Sending the kids (but not the wife) to the grandparents for the long weekend.
3. Searching for pics of zin's repainted Coconino on Sunday.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
Going on a weekend getaway, to get out of the city. Going to explore nothing but fire roads and gravel trails on my fat-ish tire road bike. Saturday temp is a predicted 71*, Sunday 72*. Feeling pretty good about life, for a moment.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
Weekday mornings I wake up too early to make coffee, so buy it at the shop near work. Yesterday bought some Mexican beans from a new[er] roaster in town - Dark Matter.
Can't say for sure they will be all that, but damn the aroma. Can't wait until tomorrow a.m.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
Three day weekend, and a century on Sunday morning!

Steaks and video games on a projection screen with my boys tonight. 10k race in the snow on Sunday. Listening to my son chattering happily in his crib for a few minutes before I head down to get him out of bed.
It's nice to feel like there's as much right with the world as there is wrong.

That's awesome. My daughter waking up in the morning with a chorus of 'mamama, dadada,' is enough to keep me from riding most saturdays. but what can I say, I make a killer breakfast.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
I've worked past 9pm most days this year and worked on Monday despite it being a company holiday.
However the end may be in sight, and I have zero plans for the weekend except for going out to pizza with friends tomorrow and getting my dog out for some overdue exercise.

Once you just shut up and hold still for a minute...you realize that every day really is a gift. Hell is not Other People...but it surely is Other People Whining.
Here's some Morning Wood. Jaegher fucking Kills it.

It's sunny and relatively warm and I have a lunch date planned with a weisswurst in a pretzel roll down by the lake. What's not to be happy about.

Ballers, Beans, Beanies and Basketball hoop I built as a present for Queen. Got the hoop done while she was away for one week visiting her sister. Screams of joy. Ears still ringing. Can't wait for the snow to melt, epicness awaits.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
As I was sitting down on the stairs to put my riding shoes on at 5 am, I heard my daughter stir and then start her cough-cry signalling she's hungry (it's weird that you can tell the difference between the cry when she's hungry vs other cries). I did the good dad thing and went up to feed her. Sure, it meant I watched the fog descend a little thicker, and that I didn't get to work early, but heck, it was worth it. Does my wife a solid by letting her sleep.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
I used to pity the parents that had to get up and rush around all weekend with their kids' sporting events. Now I've become one of them and I kinda like it. So fun watching these kids get after it and push the upper limits of their abilities. One more post-game Shermanesque trash talk rehearsal with my 8yr old son tonight then it's game on tomorrow at 9am. Imma shut you little dribble bitches up real quick. Hawkeyes goin' 4-0.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
Slept through the night for the first time in a week.
Got a good salesman at the LBS last night and hopefully, finally, a well fitting pair of new shoes.
Wheel parts for the commuter bike show up today, I get to build some wheels this weekend.

Re: Grumps can suck it, it's Friday!
I can finally add something:
I accomplished something I've always wanted to do while riding a bike:
I caught a seagull. Well, it got confused and flew into my arms.
I can now die happy and of avian flu.
