That was a joke...the AC...please let that be a joke.
Nope, not a joke. Customer has a medical condition that requires him to have an A/C... On the bright side, if this car is driven at the track, he'll be the only cat on grid with 37* air flowing inside. And yes Mark, it's the Kuehl system from Griffiths. =)
Put that in mine. Works a bunch better than stock. Which didn't work at all. When they say "air cooled" they meant the driver too. Seemed like ten miles of a/c pipes in a 911 when the old kit came out.
That is a riot Sean. Love it when people make their cars just exactlymhow they desire.
Great job man.
As a life-long Porsche lover, this thread just makes me smile. Sean is clearly a craftsman and to see him applying his skills to these cars is just tremendous.
Yeah my 87 just cant handle the florida heat. Pretty much makes it a fall/winter ride...esp with the window switches being a bit finicky
Here is a pic of my air cooled ride

So this is my summer fun car. And while it isnt a Panamera it handles pretty good and goes like stink.
Good news and bad news.
The good: 934 is 99.5% done. AC blows cold air, body work done, and one final wax than the customer can pick it up.
The bad: Went to fire it up and take it for a light shake down and there is a gnarly engine knock.......Had the engine builder over to inspect and now the motor has to come out. When they went through the motor, it was only a top end refresh. Now, it seems we need to split the case....yeah.

Back when I was younger and cool, I had an '86 951.
Also had an '87 924S as a daily for a period.
My love runs deep for the P cars.
Good morning gents, long time no update. I don't have anything really exciting going on, but we have been busy plugging away at a couple projects. We finally have the 930 GTU car in color and my dad is starting to wire and plumb.
I haven't built the wheels yet, but some doners help keep it on the ground.

All of my time has been spent repairing the gaggle of rust on a 1970 911E. The car is being converted to an RS and the owner is the fellow who makes most of our suspension. This car will be 40% street, 60% track but is mainly something he can use to showcase his suspension and racing products.
So far I've welded on RS flares, replaced the whole floor pan, one battery box, replaced both door hinge posts (not fun), one inner and outer rocker, replaced buddy seats, and repaired about every corner that glass sits in. This car had rust in the weirdest places along with about every common place. I counted 7 paint jobs on this car and the entire rear end of the car had roughly a half inch of bondo...no bueno.
