Espro Press Pots
Anyone around use this type of French press? The maker claims the double filter idea
is a quantum leap in press pot coffee. They have a Kickstarter campaign in progress now
(see here:
The MEDIUM Espro Press by Bruce Constantine — Kickstarter
I like the idea of supporting the passionate aficianado little guy over, say, Bodum.
And folks at the coffeegeek forum seem to love it. But it ain't cheap. So I'd like
to hear from any actual users. Thanks!

Re: Espro Press Pots
It's just a press pot with more filtering and insulation. If you don't like the press pot sediment and don't want to pay them then get an Aeropress. The paper filter probably does a better job, anyway. Until pressure becomes involved, this stuff just serves to separate coffee grinds from hot water. Nothing magical about it. But it does look nice!

Re: Espro Press Pots
I like the idea of good insulation and give it a FAIL for excessive filtering. With the correct grind you can control the amt. of sludge and frankly some of us want that sludge!

Re: Espro Press Pots
I have the smaller version and really like it. Regarding sludge....the filtering is good but there is still particulates in the final brew. These particulates are smaller than other presses and you really can't feel them in the oral cavity. The biggest thing for me is the irritation of the palate by the fine particles. I don't know how to describe it, but it is almost like itching in the back of your throat. That being said, it is a super nice setup with a really high build quality. 4/5 stars
