1600*F Solar Powered Cooker
Say hello to the Death Ray. I met the builder of this cooker about 11yrs ago, he was an engineer for a fire protection company I "interned" with. I say "interned" because I didn't do any engineering, I hung pipe all summer. It was an awesome experience though, one of those things I realize now looking back at it.
Anyhow. The Death Ray - it can hit 1600*F - watch it ignite a 2x4 almost instantly once the light is focused on it. He lives near Tybee and wanted to grill, but there are laws against having an open flame on the beach. Well, this doesn't have a flame. Watch the whole video, it's worth your time.

A bit over 4,000*F according to Google. But that's a chemical reaction, not just focused sunlight.
