My time keeper is either a GPS / Sat wall clock or cell phone since it's snagging some global clock. Missing your own ride = ridicule :cheesy:
btw, I may be the one missing next week to go XC skiing. Weather will have large play in that.

Seeking to juggle work meetings to accommodate Thursday morning Zwift rides.
Have questions posed elsewhere on VSalon about rollers (TruTrainer vs. InsideRide?) and real-world opinions.
Zwift is loaded on my iPad, have adequate workout space, and just ensuring good hardware decisions. :-)
I'm dropping into the game at 7:30 am. Weather is going to be awful here so no chance riding outside.
Watopia @ 7:30am est ACCORDING TO THE FRIGGIN ATOMIC CLOCK AT NAVAL O
Course : The Pretzel
I'll linger at the Banner for a few mins. If interested add "NFS" to your name and wear the Bicyclingmag jersey Code:bicyclingmag
I'm going for as long as I can stand it with a break in the middle for a few mins.
Aargh: I just saw this. I'm riding with the ZRO group at 8:32.
aaaaand you still hooked me when you went bu ;) kidding.
I lasted for two hrs. of "The Pretzel" and managed to make a couple friends along the way. I'm still pretty well surprised how sympatico people are.
We might as well continue to post alternate ZWIFT rides here as well as ZWIFT Thursdays.
I saw you and TK already riding when I got up. Wound up sleeping in a doing the P race at 10.
Are people Zwifting this Thursday? I may be able to join.
I will be able to join the ride tomorrow. Seems as though I have all the Zwift needs met.
I set my weight to 47 pounds...that should work, right?
Listen up (said the guy who missed the ride last week). DO NOT LEAVE until we are together at the banner. I'll fire off a text message with a count down.
I'm using apple time servers now so that's almost as good as Naval Observatory time.
9:05 Gather at the banner
9:10 wheels up.
VSALON: Zwift Thursdays P/B NixFrixShun - Where weight doping meets the road.
This Zwift thing looks like fun.
And this week, I was the one who bailed!! Got one lap in with the biggest group yet, got a call and HAD to head home to deal with some family stuff. Reality pokes through to the virtual world.
Hope things are all okay Tom. You were able to sneak out before Brian crushed us all. : )
That was great!
I have never spent more that 1:15 on a trainer. Put in 2:45 today (did an extra lap).
Too bad I can not do this with you guys on a regular basis. Once the bad weather really sets in we should gets some weekend rides together.
BTW - A. Taenzer was toying with me up the climb.
Good vibes your way T.K. you were missed. Speaking of missed, it appears I clicked the wrong course. Also, my right side feels strange without Tom hooking me into barriers.
Brian, you should go do a few laps before joining us and carry a few bricks in your pockets. I'm a coach and know what's good for you ;0
Two thoughts:
- I would love to join but my experience with Zwift on the non-smart trainer is too inconsistent. My effort and my speed displayed don't really correspond. I've taken to watching old episodes of 30 Rock. A smart trainer is more likely for next winter given the austerity measures sent down by the Minister of Finance (me) for this year.
- The TV interface will eventually go virtual reality. That will make the Zwift world really come alive. My nephew has a VR headset. It is unbelievable. Can't wait to climb the Stelvio or Alpe d'Huez on a smart trainer one day wearing a VR headset.
Seeing Josh turn off in various directions was fun.
Joined you guys for 1:15, but after the second hill I rolled slow and nobody came.
It was enough anyway as my hand started to hurt, coming back from an injury.
Brian, I was slowly increasing wattage from 200 -> 260 on the first, and from 200 -> 300 on the second hill.
No ill intent, just trying to get back in shape.
Super kudos for lasting that long! While zwift makes it more bearable, over 2 hours is tough.
Hope to join again at some point.
