I’ve been meaning to go to this museum for years and a Father’s Day gift did the trick for me. Humbled when you step inside? Yes, if you have ever followed baseball for even a little bit and if you’re like me, watching him play at Forbes Field and trying to play like Roberto as a kid, was the stuff that dreams were made of. Highly recommended when you folks visit Pittsburgh and of the “21” people on the tour, 16 were from out of town. That says a lot about his legacy as a player and as a great human being.

One of my high school friends is the son of the Pirates' former PR director. My friend's younger brother is a terrific writer who has authored books and magazine articles that cover Clemente's story. Enjoy!

Very cool. Will add to list. A great ball player and an even greater human being.
My dad grew up a Yankee fan, catching the end of the 50s dynasty into the dry years of the mid 60s and he always talks about Clemente and Aaron as some of his favorites besides the usual pinstriped suspects.

I've been there. Fantastic! I recommend it to everyone I know and I don't even follow baseball. Thanks for posting this.

It was amazing to watch him run the bases or throw out runners.
