What skateboard deck did you grow up riding?
Post your deck(s) here ..
I had a lime green Steve Caballero. I skated ramps a little but was such a wuss dropping in. My ollies were terrible as well and I wasn't much of a street or freestyle skater. Mostly my skateboard was just transportation to get from A to B. It didn't matter if B was 3 miles away and I don't remember getting tired once.

I had the one that was kinda shaped like a whale shark. Can't remember the name of it because I've backfilled that part of my brain with trivial bike knowledge.
Re: What skateboard deck did you grow up riding?
I had a G&S Stacy Peralta model, then a Logan Earth Ski (a 3/4" solid oak plank that weighed about 50 lbs) then a maple laminate Atlantic deck, iirc like 34-36" x8" made by some small shop in Maryland. That was set up with some tracker mid-tracks and some Bones wheels that I dumpster picked from some joint in Purcellville, Va. That was a nice setup.

Kryptonics and Tracker 6-Tracks...

Re: What skateboard deck did you grow up riding?
I had a handful, but the two note worhy ones were a Vision Agent Orange and a Santa Cruise Cruz Steve Olson.
Re: What skateboard deck did you grow up riding?
My first and best "real" board was a Lance Mountain:

I was the least hardcore of my skater buddies and before this board I had a couple handmedowns from them. All were Powell Peralta though.
I just watched the recent Bones Brigade docu- worth a look if you were from that era.
Re: What skateboard deck did you grow up riding?
I had one of the first ones that Hosoi put out and a Magnussan used the same Gullwings trucks on both. I sucked at skating but didn't really have the environment to enable it either. I still would have sucked anyway.

Re: What skateboard deck did you grow up riding?
i broke a couple sets of gullwing trucks too...then I switched to tracker. Started riding my BMX 10:1 over my skateboard so I never had a chance to break another.
Re: What skateboard deck did you grow up riding?
G&S Bowlrider with Trackers and Powerflex wheels. Like 1978? What I lacked in ability I made up for in spectacular crashes.
Re: What skateboard deck did you grow up riding?
I bet Chris King could make a mean skateboard wheel

I was lucky. Lived about half a mile down the road from him, he was about 6 years older than me.

I got it in sixth grade and it was so big it was like riding a surfboard. It was stolen a few years later and replaced with a Vision Gator and the combination of smaller board and larger me was much better.
