Re: 2019 Vsalon Nomads ride
Anyone who is on the fence is welcome to my site. Dog friendly. Pm for details. I'll sorely miss this, but I've taken a couple of gut punches from life in the last month and just don't have it in me to do this - solo travel etc. I will do my best to ride with you guys later when Josh does his blue ridge thing.
Btw, there is a beautiful Soverign for sale near me for 6800. Its had the beds removed but kitchen is intact, nice and working, as is the ac and the awnings. I'd buy it in heartbeat if I hadn't just bought a very large horses trailer with custom living quarters. I can facilitate for anyone thats interested. Charlottesville CL.
Re: 2019 Vsalon Nomads ride
Got it Dan. We have the routes, looks amazing. Well it is really. Some of the best gravel riding I've ever done in the region.
F.Y.I. If anyone who is at camp while we are out riding would be nice enough to let Sully the wonder poodle out for a stretch we would very much appreciate that.
Re: 2019 Vsalon Nomads ride
This coming weekend huh? How did I lose track of this? I'll be at Dickinson in Carlisle for a class reunion. Maybe I'll have to take a break at some point to come down and say hi...

Weather looks perfect!
Last minute beer run, pack my bags, tighten all the bolts on my bike, and then on my way tomorrow afternoon.

Amen to all that. Turns out being the first person past a Rattlesnake is no different than loose dogs. You just warm it up for the next person.
Re: 2019 Vsalon Nomads ride
Thirded. The Saturday ride was a highlight of this year, and I say that having had two flats. Dan is a masterful route creator and guide. I'm pretty sure he could have given turn-by-turn instructions from memory.
The backup road bike is getting a little nervous because I have been saying 'gravel bike' a couple times next to it. Hope to see y'all again in the fall.

FYI to all, Industry Nine hubs sound amazingly like a pissed off rattle snake. Thanks for all the fun times everyone. Looking forward to next time.

BTW for those who were asking about where to buy the cider I brought, this might help: Find Our Cider — Big Hill Ciderworks.
Re: 2019 Vsalon Nomads ride
Great route and great people! Can't wait until the next outing.
The similarity between a timber rattler and an I9 hub is eerie.

Let's try spraying the snake with NFS and see what happens.

Any photos from this shindig? I caught myself looking wistfully in the direction of Pine Grove a couple of times on Saturday...
