Paragon Rocker vs Dedicated 12mm vs Conventional Sliding
Friends + Family,
We are gathered here to discuss the Paragon Rocker and dedicated 12mm sliding dropouts.
A good friend has put in a request for a SS flat mount whip — let's call it an "all road"
I've read Paragon's comparison but would love some insight from folks who have built with the various models.
My aesthetic preferences lead me in 1 direction but I'd really like to make the decision based on use/functionality/etc.
Really appreciate your insight.

I'm a big fan of the rocker. I have 4 bikes with rockers, and I've built a bunch for other people. I personally like the aesthetics and functionality.
I haven't used the dedicated 12mm dropout yet, but a buddy has and he likes them. They do have a little more adjustability than the rocker. I
always recommend the titanium hardware if using the rockers.

Hey Will,
What is it about the functionality that makes you like them? They're a pretty foreign concept to me — haven't even held one in my hands — so I'm having a bit of a hard time putting it all together.
Thanks!

I just double checked the length of adjustability and I was wrong on the dedicated 12mm drop out. It actually has a smidge less adjustability than the rocker. I really don't think you'll have a problem with either one. Might just come down to aesthetics. I'm sure some don't like them, some do.

Re: Paragon Rocker vs Dedicated 12mm vs Conventional Sliding
I have to say that I am not a fan of the way the dedicated 12 slider places it’s path of travel at a slight angle. I’d much prefer it be parallel to the line drawn between both axles. It’s slight but I don’t design a bike so it’s geometry can be changed based on wheel position in the dropout.
I personally like the regular sliders for mountain bikes and rockers for gravel bikes.
