Nakashima Furniture- Where are you Eric P. Moss

Sorry. I haven't not seen any inspiring videos posted by Eric P. Moss in a while. So I will post this.
I was watching a video of Sam Maloof (which I will post soon) and was reminded of George Nakashima. I am always glad and inspired that these craftsmen existed once in our lifetime.

Thanks for posting this clip. It’s a dream of mine to someday own one of George’s pieces. Sadly, Kevin Nakashima passed away in November of this year. I was lucky enough to have met him and Mira during a visit to the studio in New Hope where he lived. The passion for the craft can be felt in those buildings. Hopefully the grounds will open for visitors post-COVID.

Hey great post.
And hey again, despite seeing your screen name here often I didn't realize your were the JP I know from our Instagram exchanges.
Duh.

Great post! And yes please on the Sam Maloof video. Even if it's one I've already watched multiple times, I'll enjoy seeing it again.

Thanks! I always feel like the little kid holding a model airplane and watching the real ones take off when I see craftspersons like these. It doesn't stop me from admiring or trying. I am just really aware of the distance. Forward and onward!

So true
Re: Nakashima Furniture- Where are you Eric P. Moss
I was fortunate enough to get by a loft condo local to me earlier this year - a co-worker had it listed for sale. My jaw hit the floor once in there, it was literally a museum of Nakashima. Owners had been acquiring pieces since the 80s they said.
If interested, going to this link and seeing the Matterport 3D video is best way to view. The dining table was quite large.

That's a remarkable condo.
