do US brand brazing tips fit on UK brand torches?
Hi, I just moved from the UK to the US, did some framebuilding courses in the UK and want to start off building frames on my own.
I bought an Oxy propane starter kit in the UK and wanted to try some different tip sizes and now I can't seem to find tips for it in the US.
Perhaps someone can help out, here 's a link to the tips from the UK supplier Lightweight Gas Welding Nozzles - Weldequip,
Also, I assume propane gastank valves are standardized or do these also differ in europe from the US? thanks in advance, Willem

not got a clue about gas tanks, but the lightweight tips are 6mm OD, so not sure if any of the american ones work, though i doubt that you wouldn't be able to source any out there
if you do have a struggle getting some, just PM me and i'll get some in the post

The general shape and style of the tips look like those for my Goss torch. But I suspect that the threading is different. Andy.

Not sure about tips, but the hose fittings are different - I had a lot of hassle getting my US-made Midget torch working with a UK-made economiser, eventually had to turn my own fittings.

many thanks for the offer, I managed to get some

Re: hoses- many shops can put new fittings into hoses. I have this done all the time- I buy long hoses and have them cut/ refit as shorter hoses (it's cheaper that way). If you can source the fittings they can get them installed.
