Wife and I have come into a very rare kid free weekend this weekend. Of course, everything is booked (except for the $400 rooms). Anyone have a place for rent for 2 nights near Asheville? Friday and Saturday. Or know of friend of a friend that does?

We've stayed at the Mountain Inn, there's two, both slightly outside of town but very close. They're nice enough for The Queen (my wife), and very reasonable.

I'd try to Airbnb in Black Mountain. There's a shuttle to A-ville for $1 that goes til late evening. 15 minute ride and a cute town to boot. on the other side of Asheville Bent Creek is killer MTB riding, and just over the ridge from Candler is a top-flight ride to Mt. Pisgah on the parkway.
