The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

I'm planning on doing this ride on May 23rd on my R80ST.

The ride is a fundraiser through the Movember organization, raising awareness and money for both Prostate Cancer and Men's Mental Health.

This is an effort my wife’s former firm supported through individual partner donations. I think a former colleague of hers rides in the event. So Pete’s participation is a great way for us to stay involved. They do good work. Donation sent. Thanks Pete!

"Go for the cause, not for the clothes. Find a smaller riding group beforehand and get a good ride in before heading to the event. Go home after, change into real gear, and go for a real ride."

Just seemed that people missed that Pete was already participating, not considering whether to do it and asking for reviews. Good natured prodding then. No arm twisting.

Thanks Pete, donation made. I just lost my father to prostate cancer, so this one hits close to home.

Bump with a week to go!

Just got my motorbike back after close to twelve weeks in the shop.

Had a bit of a health scare that started on Mother's Day, spent four days in the hospital, but I am all good and cleared to ride with no restrictions!

Reminder that life is precious...PLEASE consider making a donation.

I am truly humbled, as I have raised an amount that far exceeded what I thought possible.

So, the ride was awesome and I managed to raise $1,651 all together for Prostate Cancer and Men's Mental Health. Thanks to all who donated...I'm sure you can still make a donation if you would like to.
