Electronic-only steel frame conversion
If one has a steel frame which is electronic only - i.e. it doesn't have cable guide bosses - is it right to assume:
a. that such bosses can, in theory, be brazed on;
b. that in practice doing so would probably necessitate a complete strip and respray; and
d. that therefore the whole process is probably uneconomic?
My apologies if this is a stupid or very basic series of questions.
TIA
Re: Electronic-only steel frame conversion
Your assumptions above seem correct. However somebody somewhere makes clamp-on cable stops for both the down tube and the right chain stay - like cheap bikes used bitd - that would allow for cable routing without resorting to braze-ons. The sheer jankyness of such a solution will be your cross to bear.
