I like RedWings very much. Very too much.
Psssst, can you stop those dorks from saying "colorways?" It would help.
On Saturday the host of NPR's "The Splendid Table" used the word "foodway".
I threw up a little in my mouth.
Man those redwings are nice...do I need a third pair of very similar looking boots??? (maybe)
I just ordered a new pair on Friday, the 1907s. But my girlfriend isn't a fan of the wedge sole. So I think I'm a shoe-in (har har) for the pair posted above come fall. I'll just wear the current pair every g@ddamned day until she can't stand them anymore.
Funny, though. I think that if I rode my bike every day, she still wouldn't give a shit about its appearance, or think a new one would be in order.
I want a Sous Vide circulator, but that is not going to happen.
Interesting option...... DIY Sous Vide Heating Immersion Circulator for About $75 | Seattle Food Geek
Me, I would like a Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8G ED AF DX fisheye lens......perhaps more likely than your Sous Vide circulator, but not much, at the moment anyway.
Being in the construction biz I wore Redwings for years. Last two pairs I bought were Ecco. They are butta for me. The new 'wings do look nice though.

+1 on the Red Wings. I gotta thing for boots.
I saw that suitcase of courage on a guy's blog; that was a handmade birthday gift to this guy from some friends. He lives here in Portland. So, if you want it, you're gonna have to get some talented friends...
That colt + rane blog blows my mind. I hadn't seen it before, so thanks...
I will add this to boot lust: Frye Fulton Lace Up Dark Brown Distressed Leather - Zappos.com Free Shipping BOTH Ways

BTW - Blackbird in Seattle has that Redwing boot in J. Cash BLACK. Very limited sizes.

Red Wings were good enough from my grandpa, so they're certainly good enough for me.
Of course mine aren't the fashionable type that Red Wing has started to cobrand with J Crew, but they're functional.

Besides Redwings. Or any other work boot.
Hey Chase,
You just have to look on the right website. It might not be too late to fuck up your shoe budget for the year. It sure fucked up mine...

Things I want right now ....
We are thinking of purchasing a new home - something to remodel. This could be interesting, rewarding, and expensive. This has led me to bookmark hundreds of URLs for everything from garage doors to landscaping photos. I'm way to obsessed with researching things that it consumes me until I'm exhausted day after day.
I want this for my basement:
WOODWAY CURVE Non-Motorized Manual Curved Treadmill
But I crapped my pants when I found out that it cost about 6x more than I was expecting.
i went italian

got wood !?
Someone should start a low-rent clothing advice and purchasing business. I can't think of anything I dislike more than shopping for shoes and clothing. How about you dapper fellows just pick some stuff out and take 20% or something? I buy new shoes about every 5 years and get pretty anxious about the whole process.
Right now, I'm really itching for a new amplifier for my stereo

OnThe Ellipise, I actually know a guy that used to do this for a living. Nordstrom's does have this as an inhouse service. When I get a suit from them I've got a buyer for the entire shopping experience and they guys are usually very good....they willl walk with you to any department and keep things on track. Pretty cool
I'm good on knives for now. The girlfriend's family is from Little Rock. So I got two knives- and held more than a few loaded guns- on Christmas day.
Can anyone from New York tell me the law as far as carrying a pocket knife, especially on the subway? I've heard a few conflicting stories.
Old Faithful Shop — Walnut Wenger Utility Pocket-Knife
no photos in the subway, so just don't go taking pictures of the pocket pc while in the station, ok.
addendum:
i carry all sorts of work related contraband through the tubes.
when the jolly coppers ask for peak at my sack they have always
been impressed by my tool choice(s)... never a peep about any law
prohibiting my bag of trix.
