I finally bought the Alabama Shakes records.
Boys & Girls is pretty great, a really well done throwback to the heydays of Janis and even Aretha.
But Sound & Color? Holy God they've synthesized every thing from the first records and moved on through the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and landed right smack dab in the middle of today. It's fucking brilliant.
