E) proper English sports car experience
I had a first generation one and I'm 6' tall and I never felt cramped in the car. It was a bit of a lesson in gymnastics to get into the car when the top was up but when inside it wasn't bad at all. And I once took a 7-hour road trip which involved going through Chicago with my mother and she even commented that it never felt cramped or claustrophobic at all. Spacious would be the wrong word, but it's very efficient use of the available space and I agreed with her that at no time did I feel cramped, even with two of us in the car on a long drive.
I look forward to seeing the new one in person next year. Also curious to find out about pricing.
Really it's not about height, but body proportions.

How long before you can get one with an LSx? What would the weight difference be?
iirc about 250 lbs. - engine, drive shaft, tranny. LSx are pretty big engines, the ND's heavily sloping hood not playing well together. v8 conversions are $$ as well, the heavier duty driveline components essentially ruin the Miataness of the car. Could pick up one used but... For a lot less dough z06.
But yeah, everyone wants a little car with an explosive engine.
But you just said that the explosive engine was a reason not to go rotary. I'm confused now.
You need to try harder - that was a hanging curve that got tapped foul.
Want. Big. Engine.

thats a cool s2000. thought you guys were talking about miatas.
???
I'm pretty sure you two knuckleheads have never driven either car (I have) but don't let that stop you from equating the two. I could explain the fine details to you but it would be like teaching the alphabet to a couple of marmots.
I'm pretty sure that this knucklehead drove one of them long before either of them appeared on your radar. So, posit away.
I see then. A 116hp car is the same as a 247hp car. Brilliant.
all this talk of miatas and now s2000s is making me seriously crave a 1970 chevelle ss454
mauna, babe, we can stick lots of different crate motors in all kinds of american muscle and they will corner just as badly. bring it!
