Been listening to this record nonstop all week. D'Angelo killed it with Voodoo and he's done it again with Black Messiah.
How are there so many great bands coming from the Southern Hemisphere?

Some things will never get old. Saw this clip again in a documentary the other night and it reminded me how much I love this stuff.

The New Sleater-Kinney record is awesome. I don't have a link but you should buy it.
What he said. My copy arrived yesterday at noon and I've listened to it four times already.

This is from last week, their first performance in front of an audience since 2006. The last 20 seconds blew my mind:

There are no new ideas. Zeppelin regurgitated the blues. Neil Young took "Lady Jane" and turned out "Borrowed Tune;" and hell, The Stones are just as guilty as anyone. Beck rewrote Serge Gainsbourgh. Paul's fucking Boutique. So it is difficult to put into words how disgusted I am with this Mark Ronson album. This isn't homage, or building off what came before. Listening to it feels like being the lookout for a shoplifter. I can't recall another piece of music that has actually made me feel horrible.
this dude is awesome.

A drunk and slurring Elliott Smith is a mashup of tragedy and beauty.
