Re: Motorcycles.
That’s such a great looking bike. And that box looks just right for transporting baked goods.

Re: Motorcycles.

Re: Motorcycles.
Headed down to The Farmer's Wife in Ancramdale on Sunday morning to meet some motorcycle friends for coffee.
Tim, British guy, rides the yellow Moto Guzzi, Brian rides the black one.
These bikes I believe are early 70's and have been owned since new by these guys, making them fully responsible for the significant "patina."
Oh yeah, Tim rolls his own cigarettes, too.

That exhaust is an investment (or maybe it comes stock with the rest of the investment?)

Re: Motorcycles.
Hopefully I have not told this before.
At the Trexlertown swap meet some yrs. back I won a bet. A few of us were standing around telling lies when I perked up at the sound of a moto firing up outside the track "Ducati" sez me. Someone says "BS" and I said bet you $20 I'm right so RUN and prove me wrong.
I did not take the $20, it was a gimme.

On the flip side from that R50, a local biker bar usually has a red or blue K1200RS parked out front--sometimes both of them. That bike looks like a freight train with a handlebar. I wasn't surprised to read that it weighs well over 600 pounds.

Yes, Tony, it must be sidecar season. Just passed a woman riding what sounded like a Harley with a sidecar while finishing my ride. And a local home has a new Ural + sidecar in the driveway.

Re: Motorcycles.
In Uganda, motorcycles nearly outnumber automobiles. All of them are some variant on the below. Upright bars, long seat, 100cc engine. Eyewitness evidence suggests they can carry up to 4 passengers or an equivalent number of bunches of bananas. Two ~75lbs bags of charcoal. Several goats depending on size of goats. A large pig. Lumber of varying sizes. Large plastic cisterns. Hoses. Sheet metal. One passenger and one electric keyboard. A large chicken cage full of chickens. Jack fruit of unknown numbers. A calf. Up to 8 20L plastic Jerrycans containing water and/or gasoline/kerosene/diesel.

Perhaps amazingly, given the dust and other particulate that covers a lot of the dirt roads, the engines sound nicely tuned up - smooth and quiet.

Behind the front fender—is that a crash bar? Cargo carrier? Combo of the two?

ADVs everywhere around here—chatting up e-bikes, hauling push mowers, looking retro. Even on the tube for Saturday coffee time.

RW That makes me wonder what it would be like to ride a modern rocket ship like that. Given they have wheelie control, it might be kinda fun.
