ive joined a local team, a team that is 90% full of good friends of mine. they left up the comments that were made regarding my application and whether i was a good addition or not, and some of them were the nicest things ive seen said about me..really gave me one of those grinch's-growing-heart moments.
this is going to be a good year once i move back to boston.
Was able to get on an earlier flight today and keep my upgrade. :)

Ordered a new bed last night. Getting something for ourselves instead of hand-me-downs from our parents will be a great thing once it comes in. We are really excited.
Saw a mit full of turtles on the side of the rail bed trail I used to commute this morning. Something relaxing about riding away from the rest of the real world and seeing nature on my way to work instead of listening to the same 8 songs on the radio driving the same drive every day. Its officially been a month for me to use up a whole tank of fuel in my Mini, including the 100km round trip to drop off the tandem frame for powder. Don't get me wrong, I am/was a car guy - but this is bliss. I think my frame build for a commuter bike should include a little rack so I don't need to wear the hydrapack for a lunch bag, but for the time being I really don't mind.

1. My buddy's kid's bday is today, turning 9. He and his pop are big into hunting/fishing/etc...So part of his bday party is called Gunfire Birthday - basically shooting his Dad's gun collection for the hell of it. He was allowed to invite 4 of his friends, I was the only adult he invited. Not sure what that says about me, but I like it!
