One of these was in the neighborhood this week and I can verify it does in fact stop traffic. And pretty women.
Cannot report whether or not drivers of these return waves from other EV drivers. Because I was just sitting there with my jaw on the floor.
The previous pic with the blue one was more flattering but on that green one the angle make it looks like a VW Scirocco that has been stretched by the nose a bit too far until it ended up with a duck beak.
To be fair, a lot of modern estates/ wagons look like that from that particular perspective. Has more to do with optics than actual dimensions of the vehicle.
Also, the blending of C- and D-pillars (or perhaps it’s just one big C-pillar) gives the illusion of a hatchback, whereas there’s quite a bit more behind the rear seats. Aesthetically, i prefer the more traditional approach found on the Avant A6 e-tron.
Here's the Avant A6 e-tron from a similar perspective. Having an actual D-pillar (as opposed to a wrap-around glass pane) gives it a longer looker, despite both it and the Taycan being ~195" in total length (though the latter does seem to be a tad front heavy).

Is that a real car or a concept?
Here are the two Porsche sisters, with the "blunt" and "stretched" noses:

Is the top one a Panamera?
As for the e-tron A6 Avant, it's supposed for go on sale in 2024.
Speaking of wide, I saw an Audi A6 Avant Performance and that's a wide car. The wheels appear to be even wider than the car itself.

Near a market by my house, no idea year/model but the blue/black looks great, bonus points for no red calipers.

This is a current model 718 Boxster Spyder. An incredible car. Naturally aspirated flat 6 4.0 l, 414 hp. It's the Boxster version of the 718 GT4. The color is called Shark Blue. The black calipers are an option. One of these is on the short list for my next P car if the track bug ever subsides. They look spectacular in Racing Yellow. For the moment, I prefer a roof in case I inadvertently ever find myself upside down.
Most likely a regional arm of the Porsche Club holding a track event. When not hosting professional events, tracks generate revenue by renting out to car clubs (e.g. PCA, BMWCCA, etc.) or for profit track organizations (Chin, NASA etc).
The events are non-competitive with passing by consent (signals given) but everyone driving at the limit of their and the car's abilities. Run groups are determined by experience. Beginners start with in-car instructors and then progress to solo with intermittent instruction and eventually full solo. There are fairly stringent criteria for promotion in most reputable clubs. Once past beginner status, most cars require upgrades in tires, brakes, suspension and safety (half cage, rigid seats, five point harnesses, HANS) to run reliably and safely in the upper run groups. Some people choose to run retired full race cars (like Lionel's 991.2 Cup) rather than modified street cars. The sky is the limit but the wise invest in their skills, data acquisition and car safety/reliability rather than just buying horsepower.
It's a blast. Here's a shot of my modest 718CS at a recent event. I'm in my third year with 41 track days and in an upper intermediate group (PCA white).

They're functional and for the track only. They are there to avoid trouble, not ask for it. Some tracks near residential areas have noise limits. There are dB detectors somewhere along the track and cars are black flagged (called off the track) if they exceed the limit. These accessories soften the sound (the 4RS is incredibly loud car in stock form at high rpm) and direct the sound away from the detector. Don't worry, he knows they are a visual abomination. They'll be off for street use.
Very nice. !
Got this one back after a full re build.... A real joy !
