I know someone who went to Germany for a type of cutting edge spinal surgery that wasn't available here. Judging the entirety of US orthopedic surgery capability on the basis of that single bit of data would obviously be grossly inaccurate.

I suggest its time to lock this thread and allow it to sunset saying only that its worth becoming informed on the issue as it bears heavily on the economics of your business and your life.
