Re: Frame Pumps: The Greatest Ever Made
Sooooo, whatever happened to Bruce Gordon's Titanium Silca pump copy? IIRC it was not made in large numbers. It was a clever, expensive, take on the Silca.

If I saw one of those out in the wild I would steal it out of principle. Talk about diamonds on the soles of her shoes.
Re: Frame Pumps: The Greatest Ever Made
i have 4 topeaks on different bikes. they have a nice tight spring load and dont rattle once set in place. 90 psi, no problem. i've lent mine to fellow riders more times than i've used them myself when they inevitably f up the co2 thingy. they just work. i love frame pumps.

Utterly shameless. Like picking the gold watch you want to get when you retire and using the catalog photo as your screensaver in your cubicle. Bad Josh, joss.
Re: Frame Pumps: The Greatest Ever Made
I have a Topeak Master Blaster. Only complaint is the velcro strap. I'm scared to not use it, but cannot find a place to put it without it rubbing me or my bibs. Is it safe to go without? Lately I've just been carrying a small pump in my jersey pocket as well as co2.

I haven't used the strap in 5 months, mainly because I lost it. I didn't even use the strap during our GTR/RBX and there were some serious rocks and gravel. My bike went through a lot and that thing stayed put. It's a nice snug fit though.

If your Koo Koo Penthouse is big enough the pump can get stashed in there too.

That's too bad. I was looking forward to hearing someone tout the longevity of their 30 year old leather chamois.

They are still available - there is a wait to get one though.

Re: Frame Pumps: The Greatest Ever Made
I'm a Zefal user and a fan. Must use a strap even though I hate them because on rough roads the pump moves enough to crack up the paint underneath the top tube and the rattling noise drove me nuts.
My burning question is this: Is the new, revitalized Silca going to come out with a USA made frame pump to put all others to shame? Hopefully an all-aluminum one (no plastic/rubber handle) that can be painted to match the frame!

true but mountable, and with narrow diameter, decent length, and hose, itll get you all the way to normal pressure with ease! an improvement on lezynes hose products.

Fair enough.
Let's include any frame mounted pump that in your estimation does the job tout de suite.
