Re: 2020 Political Chatter
I get no glee from this. Poetic justice isn’t poetry. There is nothing beautiful about it. I think it just shows how difficult this winter is going to be. More people with higher rates of COVID fatigue indoors and in close proximity.
Go back and review best practices. Refresh your hand sanitizer supply. Get new masks if you are using the washable type. Wash your hands. Don’t touch your face. Etc etc etc.
And get a flu shot!

That's 2020 bumping along the X axis since the 'rona hit in March.

I don’t get “glee” from this but it’s absolutely poetic. I’ve never stopped “best practices”, working in emergency services since the beginning of this mismanaged disaster.
Re: 2020 Political Chatter
A larger question then is the president's previous contact with the vice president and, importantly, any contact with Joe Biden at the "debate". Just another chapter in the constitutional crisis that has been in effect since January of 2017.

There will a quiz in 2 weeks, study hard.
Order of Presidential Succession
Vice President.
Speaker of the House.
President Pro Tempore of the Senate.
Secretary of State.
Secretary of the Treasury.
Secretary of Defense.
Attorney General.
Secretary of the Interior.
Re: 2020 Political Chatter
Whatever the outcome it is unfortunate that the comment I read from the dean of the Brown University School of Public Health, that it is inexcusable that the White House team allowed this to happen, won't be more widely heard and understood.
It illustrates another side of the problem: the White House staff is incompetent at all levels. All of them. Good going, guys. Way to keep the President safe. Isn't that kind of an important part of the function?
Don't get me wrong. I see DJT as just one cancer cell in a larger malignancy so I'm not as annoyed as I might be, but this just demonstrates that the stupidity in this administration is top to bottom and side to side.

Here’s a timeline of Trump’s activities and contacts in the past week: https://www.syracuse.com/us-news/202...ctivities.html

Re: 2020 Political Chatter
The team traveled Wednesday to a fundraiser knowing they had been exposed, exposing countless others. The press secretary comes out yesterday knowing she had been exposed, not informing the public(transparent administration?)of the situation, no masks and exposing the whole room.

That is interesting. Could distancing be a factor?

I'm with Tom. I think it is actually just stupid. Stick your finger in an outlet while standing in a bathtub full of water stupid.
BTW, thanks for working in emergency services. Lunch on me if we ever meet in person.
Re: 2020 Political Chatter
I requested an absentee ballot (I live in PA where this is quite a process) and it arrived yesterday. I subsequently completed the form, confirmed all of the procedures and I took special pleasure, mailing the ballot at a rural post office, which is right in the heart of tRump country. I’m thinking of getting more ballots, because I recall our infected leader asking the public to vote as often as we want, in order to “test the system”.

Totally.
As someone wrote in one of the papers this am... »The President is supposed to keep the country safe but he couldn’t even keep himself safe».
Re: 2020 Political Chatter
I gotta stop sleeping in until 8 am. The whole world changed.

Interesting.
It appears that you are either the devil or you made a mistake. All depending on where you are politically.
Witness Virginia and Canada.
Re: 2020 Political Chatter
Pro-life Supreme Court nominee, hubby and the kids waltzing all over the White House, etc. No distancing or masks. October 2nd, 2020. A day that will live in irony!
Re: 2020 Political Chatter
I guess Pence’s medieval biblical attitudes towards women other than his wife have paid off.
He gets to play president for 14 days.

That's the thinking, but of course it's an uncontrolled experiment so we'll never really know.

I think there is a 50:50 chance that Trump's Covid is made up just exactly for this reason.
Also, it will allow him to say that Covid is no big deal, despite one of every 1500 in US being dead with Covid.

Not just at the White House. It's across the Republican party: https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/02/polit...rus/index.html
