This is going to sound like a real first world problem, but…

The price of beer. Specifically, the trend towards tasty, lower-alcohol “session” beers like Lagunitas Daytime IPA or Stone Levitation. These are brilliant beers: hoppy, dry, flavorful, AND you can drink 2 or 3 or 4 without getting shitfaced. But they are the same price as their regular IPAs, often $10-11 per sixer. And we all know they require a fraction of the raw ingredients to make them. I’m not going to pay that much for a 4% ABV beer, because the whole point of 4% beer is that you can drink more of it. I simply can’t afford to pay $11 for session beer.

September saw two of my friends die, one of whom left a wife and three kids, and it was witnessed by them all and five of their closest friends and all thier families - 18 kids, total. The other one was found by a friend going to pick them up to go to the 1st one's wake. They were both 45.
Then, my dog died, and I got the flu, and then someone close to me was victimised by a serial sex offender.
September sucked BAD.
I had to get that off my chest.

I don't know you personally, but my grump is that I'm not in Flagstaff to buy you a drink and let you just unload all that shit. My heart goes out you and all those close to you that were lost, hurt, and affected in such deep ways. Puts things into perspective. I know where my thoughts will be tonight. If there's anything I can do from here...let me know.

100% true: As I was reading this, that Volwaken ad with the Rush song just happened to be playing on the TV in the background.

If you can't hang with a 7/4 time signature... well, it sounds like a personal problem.

But yeah, I hate Rush too.

My grump is that I seem to be invisible to anyone with 2 X chromosomes. Being single and looking, it sucks.
