Get Your Grump on Thursdays - Was (What's chapping my @ss today?)

The fact that you won't hear one politician or major media outlet talk about the national debt, deficit, or China's unfair trading practices. These are the most threatning, urgent issues that our country has ever faced.

Instead we get divisive 'soft' topics: minimum wage, immigration, marjuana legalization.

If you think all these problems would get fixed if we just elected 'your guy' and got rid of 'that guy' ---------then you are my grump today.

£200 pounds fine from the Council, for "unproper disposal of the waste".

I always clip the tyres, crack the sprockets, chop thew brake wires, make everything that cannot go in the Recycling bins, unusable (it is old and not safe to use). F*ck them ,they still have to open the box on the street, and somtimes scatter everything around. God damn it! @*!!!£%&*"$@!

Okay, it's still Thursday here, so I've got one more.

Tuesday evening I was about to go out to get the mail, and it just started dumping rain, and didn't let up until yesterday morning. So I head out early to grab the post, and I see this envelope with a big "Infraction Notice" on it. Uh... WHAT?

I open it up, and see a photo of my car in an intersection not far from home, making a right turn. I check online and watch the video. Sure enough, it rolls through the intersection making a right turn without stopping for the red light. I look at the date, and check the direction, and for the life of me don't know why I would be even AT that intersection on a Monday.

And then I remembered that this particular Monday was two days after we sold my wife's car (YES! finally out from under that Jetta!). So SHE was driving my car. $124 fee. So... What to do? Pay the fee and take the hit on my driving record, or throw her under the bus by saying she was driving, and then wait for another notice to come in the mail and pay the fee anyway?

Yeah, I know it's Friday, but I wasn't logging in yesterday and today I'm worked up. The neverending saga that has been my Pegoretti order. The next hit is that there was no FD adapter included, although GITA said it was included when it left their building. So that leaves the person that I ordered it from as the person that screwed up yet another facet of this order.

Take the hit, pay the extra to get it off your record in 6 months. Keep the photo for later use if you're in a tight spot with her.

I think I have another kidney stone. Started getting some ache in the same kidney as last time. Im not religous one bit but im now praying I dont go through that again.

"Reality TV". I've never watched a minute of it, but am aware due to the non-stop commercials for them and the other media mentions. I don't care who's getting voted off, who's getting fired, the one we should Idol, what's in the fucking storage container. You've got Fatty Boo Boo and the entire fat ass family. ZZ Top and the Fucktard Dynasty. Ice Road whackjobs. Pawn shop shitheads. All manner of trailer park trash. Gotta' cut the cord and avoid the media, I guess.

Apartment owner asks me to move out so that they can move in. I say OK. One month later I have a better place. Cool!
Six months later I get a letter form a lawyer stating that have to pay for three more months of rent even though I was not in the apartment and they broke the contract. Now I need a freaking lawyer or pay up.

Not much to grump about, but I sure hope that voluminous amounts of snow shoveling, roof raking, and wood splitting translates into some sort of cycling fitness...because those 3 things are all I've been doing lately in my free time. In the beginning it was kind of fun after being at a desk/meetings all day to get home and do a few hours manual labor. That little novelty is Done. Over. Finis.

Tertiary Grump; I love livin' in the (relative) sticks, but the commute into/from Boston is getting O-L-D.
