Re: show us your stash house

Amazing how some people can have such good tastes in one thing and complete failure in the other

Agreed. Exhibit A: quantity does not trump quality.

THIS JUST IN
Spy photos of Songline's Stash House and the Kirk-Strong-Hampsten "Triple Threat." Please excuse poor quality pics. I was eluding detection.
Not pictured: Songline's Specialized Allez trainer bike, and the Trek Madone that he keeps in the bathtub. Yes, in the bathtub.
His living room looks like a bike shop. It's awesome.
He says the Hampsten will soon be going Chorus, in order to "complete the look."
We need to get this guy a digital camera so that he can upload some proper photos to do these bikes justice.

I shed a tear looking at those photos. Beautiful, just beautiful.
Re: show us your stash house
Also, forgot to mention - Songline's next door neighbor rides a Pegoretti Marcelo in the "Hands" paint scheme. It's fully blinged out in Stella Azurra carbon wheels, stem, handlebars, seatpost, etc. He also has a Colnago Dream Machine, but I didn't get to see that one. Whole lot of high-zoot stuff going down on the 4th floor up there in Tenleytown.
Most importantly, the neighbor has a very attractive girlfriend (friend?) who was casually sipping Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA from the bottle at 1:00 on a Sunday afternoon.

Forget the girlfriend, I want pics of the Marcelo with the "Mani" scheme.

Wow - don't know how you managed to figure out the particular beer she was drinking. For me, it was more like a Seinfeld moment, when he admonishes George not to look too long, as if taking a fleeting glimpse of the sun for fear of going blind. There was a whole lot going on with her, most of it spilling out of her dress. I just focused on the Marcelo. Much safer, eyesight intact, good neighborly relations preserved.
Re: show us your stash house
Songline, your stash house needs raiding.... and does the IRS know the value of the contents?
Mrs. Songline must have an awesome shoe collection.......

Apartment living kinda sucks sometimes, but at least the fun-per-square-foot value of this closet is relatively high.

The horribly unorganized current state of stuff, and things:

Nicely done, Deez Wheels!

One of my favorite threads from the days of old ... needs to be updated with current shots. Mine is underway and almost done, but in the meantime post them up (it's been thirteen years since the last shots were displayed)!
Re: show us your stash house
Just found the hi fi I’d like to have in my stash space. I don’t even know how it sounds, and I sort of don’t care.

'Stereo Commander' has a nice ring to it.
I'd build a room around it if I could afford to.

Re: show us your stash house
Finally completed the new workshop … quite pleased with how it came out. No A/C or heat in this shed, so the last two months of summer have been “uncomfortable,” but the fall awaits. I suspect a space heater will be more than adequate for the winter months.
Still in its pristine state, but the years ahead will season it up.
