While not a total ripoff, there's definitely an influence. And they don't suck.

wrapping up - Garro.
I’ve just read through this whole thread, and enjoyed it immensely (with the exception of the tear I shed over Yellow Dog). The segmented stays reminded me of this:
http://meriwethercycles.files.wordpr...seat-stays.jpg
Exactly. I had a red one, too - that's a Race Lite SL, right? Beautiful bikes, and if you look deep made to be built in sub-assemblies - smart. I think the seatstay sleeves on the bonedraggers were bonded - they welded on the dropout & then let the glue set, or so I have heard.
Damn - that one looks cherry. - Garro.
I had a red lite too, (and a green one) though this picture is somthing I poached online: My pictures are all too fuzzy and muddy. I've often thought that those frames paved the way for many design features we consider standard thesedays: Though you'd have much more insight into that than I ever would. The more things change...

WOW!
Garro, it looks as though you could pound out a few standard frames
in the time and effort it takes to produce one of those rigs and its accessories. A touring system atmo.
Love the bmw blue.
If those are not functional art, I don't know what is..
Thanks! Yeah - I think you could knock out two no-frills bikes in the same time. like I said - the one has seventy one pieces.
Favourite quote of the week, Mr E. from Winter Cycles: "Dude - never count the pieces........."
Priceless! I laughed at that for days.

Where are my fish pics? I want fishin stories and I don't want to wait. Been three weeks now with no Steevo stories. That is enough. Glad you are back.
Attachment 39357Is this big enough?
- Garro.
Too small, that must be you throwing him back. Tough to get into the boat though. I was watchin' CNN yesterday and they mentioned a fish taco shortage from the last couple weeks down Baja way. Mentioned some Foreign National fish slayers came in and ate em all. Thanks for the pics, now get back to work.
true, but with a USA conspiracy twist thrown in - it's just so cold down there that the migratory species have not shown up yet - fishing was slooooow..........
Boating was killer!
Great shrimp season, though. Hard on the vacas as they fill in the void with asada, and had great birria and borrego.
bought a huge slipper lobster though, and had some nice sierras and snappers!
- Garro.
You know the rules, pics or it didn't happen. A couple surfing buddies just got back and said the surf was good, but the fishin sucked too. I don't think a bad time can be had when you are out enjoyin life with a few friends, fish or no fish. Glad you had a good time and can get back to the cold country and crank out a few more bikes.
