Hello!
I am building a "cafe' cruiser" bicycle with an internally-geared rear hub. Does anyone know if there are braze-ons specific to this setup? I've seen references online to a "Pac Man" braze-on for the right chain stay. It allows the arm projecting off the hub to bolt onto it, rather then using a clamp to attach to the chain stay. Unfortunately, I cannot find a supplier. Thanks in advance,

I don't think you need to look for any specific supplier or already made part, just get yourself a thick plate (3-4mm) and make it yours with bit of help from a drill and round file. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes and I'm sure you'll manage to get it as tolerances' tight as you want

Measure your part- different set ups have different needs. Account for any drop out adjustment, etc.

hi Christopher, I think you missed the chance to learn a nice thing there, on how you can be your own supplier, if only for certain things which does not involve big money investments or headaches, just giving a thought to the part and finding out how to make it yours. You might get surprised how many things you could do with just your head and a couple of tools.Quote:

I do agree with you, and I appreciate the feedback. My work and family schedule right now does not allow me to fabricate the tab from scratch. I have, however, done much of this type of scratch-fabrication already. On this bike, my lugset was missing a seat lug, so I cut one from a blank lug. In the past, I have also machined all my own fixtures and tooling. Hopefully as the years go by, things will loosen up a bit so I can dabble more in the finer points of frame building.
