A bit more on how the 0.01% is living: $1 mil parking spots in SoHo

How much longer until the rabble take all this down in a few days of rage?
(Note cycling content in the foreground - if you don't have a car I suppose you could put your bike(s) in that basement parking spot.)

Buy Condo, Then Add Parking Spot For $1 Million
What will $1 million buy in New York City? A diamond-encrusted Cartier men’s watch. A small fleet of 2014 Bentley Continentals. Or maybe your very own parking spot in SoHo.
A new development, 42 Crosby Street, is pushing the limits of New York City real estate to new heights with 10 underground parking spots that will cost more per square foot than the apartments being sold upstairs.
The million-dollar parking spots will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis to buyers at the 10-unit luxury apartment building being developed by Atlas Capital Group at Broome and Crosby Streets, itself the former site of a parking lot.

If you walk around SoHo for an hour or two on a nice day, you'd be hard pressed to hear the English language spoken. New York and London are dumping grounds for enormous quantities of foreign wealth. Nine of those ten condos will likely be occupied for less than a few weeks a year. The rabble can go on about the 1%, but it's not our 1% buying this stuff.

Friends were trying to buy a place in Brooklyn.
Kept getting outbid.
"Russians with cash?"
"Yeah, how did you know?"
