Wandering for Thanksgiving
Open for suggestions here are my parameters:
- No snow
- Within 8 hrs. drive of Washington DC or less
- Dog Friendly
Looking to get myself and Queen out of Dodge for TDay. This is the first Thanksgiving in memory we have not hosted a party so what the heck? Not looking for a wilderness experience, maybe a great hotel with road bike riding out the front door? Go for it.
Re: Wandering for Thanksgiving
Somewhere in coastal SC. Edisto Island or similar? You're welcome.
Re: Wandering for Thanksgiving
Honestly the first thing that comes to mind is Hincapie's new B&B in Traveler's Rest, SC:
Hotel Domestique
Re: Wandering for Thanksgiving
Both of you are princes. SC is looking mighty fine.

Stole the suggestion right out of my brain.
Re: Wandering for Thanksgiving
We got space. No snow for sure. 70+ degree clear ocean water. Friendly dogs. Can't drive here though.
Re: Wandering for Thanksgiving
I did Thanksgiving twice in Asheville in the 80's to visit grandparents and there was no snow either time. Maybe we hit the jackpot and locals feel free to correct me but it seemed nice. That said I know it has since been discovered and may not be so pleasant at Thanksgiving anymore.
