That is what I was thinking. It is not the same file in each picture unless in the first picture the file is just reversed with the NICHOLSON logo on the back.

Yup- lazy posing. It's just flipped. White vinegar for 2 days, brass brush, then a baking soda and water rinse. Easy peasy. This was a sharp file that was just rusty, and the gentle process left it sharp. Not bad for $1.

That's our drinking water reservoir. Water comes out of a spring on the hillside (literally out from under a rock) and runs down a brook to this reservoir. When it rains the brook washes silt and sand into the reservoir and it settles out there, so we have to shovel it out every year. You can see a raised pipe on the right that carries the water a quarter mile to the house.

This is before: Enve 2.0 carbon fork - you're looking at the fork tips.

This is after. After what? After just riding for a year or so, can't remember anything unusual as far as hard impacts. Could even be from a simple twist of frame going on or coming off a Park workstand that clamps by the fork. Didn't even see it at first. Only on a second look did I notice a fork tip hanging by a thread.

No idea how long I was riding the bike with the fork in this condition. Think there was still enough of the tip for tightened down wheels to hold on to.

Replaced with a Seven 5E fork - with alloy fork tips.

We have something similar. One drought year a well was drilled: sixty gpm of exceptionally soft water. But the pond is still there.

I'll bite. Our lane was a total disaster. Especially after we had a new well line put in a few years ago. Basically it was a sunken road. So yesterday with the warm weather, we lucked out and the crew arrived early and had everything done by 2pm.

    Before:

    After:

And I had them do a run up to the shop doors:

Is there a new category of bikes known as "Crushed Limestone bikes"?

Have you seen the new ‘chert’ bikes? Pretty rad... designed especially for the ‘crush and run’ 24 hour events.
