Is Sagan bagging it on purpose to piss off Tinkov?

No. I'm sure he's sincerely looking for a V. Nothing better to shut up Tinkov.
Regardless, he's one of the riders in the tour.
The fact that he is so regularly throwing down feats of strength and handling prowess should really quiet the insatiable boss. Beyond impressive riding.

Holy crash! I am surprised Thomas got up and rode out the rest of the stage in decent time. Looks like pretty bad side impact to left side of the head. Good he has a helmet that help him survive.

Valverde has been interesting to watch in this Tour!

Sagan is trying hard, and is a great underdog to root for a win, if you can call him underdog at this point with so many second places.

I think it was a genuine mistake and didn't see it coming. It was the same turn that Plaza and Sagan both overshoot earlier.

Yes he is definitely fighting for it.

He is a bit suffering from a Cancellara-like syndroma. He is so strong and impressive in hilly stages that nobody wants to collaborate with him and go to the finish line in the same group. In the sprints he would need much more team support to beat Greipel in top form. He is spending a lot of energy keeping his position at the front of the bunch and may lacks that tiny bit comes the last 250m. This + all the efforts to secure the green jersey I think getting so many of top 5 positions is incredible as frustrating for him as it is.

Agreed. He's the reason I check each day to see what happened. I don't think he bombed down that descent like that just to come in second.

    Love this:
Sagan was asked why he went into the breakaway for a third straight day, replying because "I have big balls" leaving the interviewer stunned before letting out a nervous laugh and continuing on.
And, from the armchair quarterback (my god, this guy is insufferable):
but Tinkov wasn't as chipper in his post-stage comments.

"I think I am more disappointed than Peter because Peter looks happy," Tinkov said in Gap. "I look disappointed for him. I think Peter is the strongest rider of this Tour de France, for me he is stronger than Chris Froome, and he deserves at least one win."

Sagan is a beast and he's turning into one of the best all-arounders of the past couple of generations. Crazy crash and it's amazing that Thomas walked away much less finished.

Geraint Thomas must have a concussion.

    Barguil needs a talking to.

    Sagan is a rock star.

Sagan is taking a lot of risks lately, awful move on Hesjedal the other day to bunny hop a road-divider, then almost taking down Coquard in the sprint in a desperate move to not lose points on Greipel

In the break yesterday, of course he would have been the man to beat anyway, but he can't keep a low profile, he has to adopt his cocky attitude, attacking in a downhill 60km to go which saw everyone attacking him just after. He shows the muscle but then not able to ride a good tempo to limit the time loss on Plaza Molina - or he really thought he would close a 1 min deficit in the downhill?

I mean he's an animal and thank god he exists because it would be boring otherwise, but he's getting a bit nervous and it explains some of his "bad luck"

I think it is unfair to say that. Sagan had the right to go wherever he wanted and bunny hop what the fuck he wanted. It is always up to the rider behind to follow the moves or avoid crossing wheels.

On stage 15 sprint, Coquard was pedalling backwards. As a former sprinter I can safely say that's the proper way to deal with moving chicanes.

No you don't swerve like that from one side to another in a group unless you're sure no-one is riding next to you rear derailler. I don't think there is a rule for that but obviously if Ryder had crashed (a rider with less skills/attention would have crashed), Peter would have been trashed.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about

Three riders bunny hop the center median on stage 15 (2015/tour-de-france)

You don't do that in a group ride.

In a race, it is not an issue.

You know it's not an issue as long as no one gets hurt

I've seen more subtle "swerve"/move that caused crash and riders getting bad reputation

In a crit that kinf of swerve could end in a fist fight

I guess it is a case of being cabled as a sprinter or climber rider. You see those kind of swerves everyday in omnium races on the track with a pack of 30-40 riders in a tiny space of 250x4m.

I don't know about the swerve because I didn't see it, but this little hop over a bump isn't a big deal. They followed the moto. Not even sure I would consider that a curb.

Sorry guys, looks like you are a lot thougher than me

If you don't see the swerve I might me too sensitive, even in a breakaway you see riders waving with the hand to indicate a danger like a road-divider but Sagan wanted to bunny hop it to have fun and to follow the moto

I don't think he did it to have fun, but to draft off the moto. He may not have even noticed it until he committed to following the moto. It might not have even registered in his head that it was an obstacle.
