I think the aesthetics of a full rigid bike is unbeatable but it will have to be a 27.5 or 29+ before I'd be temped to ride one again.

I do want to try a 27.5+ rigid. That just might be the beesknees. Maybe.

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?

I have one too and like it a lot. Also not suspension corrected - so designed for rigid.

I used to have a 29er single speed rigid that I loved... I even loved it so much I was going to get rid of all of my other bikes.

    I say go for it.

Not the best picture but love my 29er rigid work out rig. Being a family guy don't have the time to go out on 3hour rides so this works great for those 1.5hr work out rides after work. The SAVE seatpost makes it feel like there is suspension in the rear. As an above poster mentioned less is more!

I think that used to be my bike. I bought and sold it on the Paceline forum and now the new owner is selling it again, as I think he has too many projects. It was a pretty awesome all purpose bike, but the geometry didn't suit the riding that I am doing these days. I had it repainted black with silver decals.

I would have kept it for pimp factor had my wife not frowned upon me buying a replacement frameset :)

Pretty sure the guy I bought it from was the original owner...his name is Tim, local guy here in the Hudson Valley who runs a race timing business.

All of my mountain bikes are rigid. We've got some fairly chunk terrain out here (I'm not far from Moab), but I like the feel of rigid forks better. I feel better in control, especially on slower technical descents, and with so many Plus and Fat tire options out these days, I don't miss suspension.

Who did you sell it to? Mark (I think?) who lives in Michigan or thereabouts? It bought it from him. I think it has seen the original owner, yourself, Mark, myself, and now Drew (I think that's his name?) from the Paceline. Its a well traveled bike. It pained me to sell it because it was so cool, but it didn't suit my needs. As a gravel grinder/ drop bar MTB, there would be no finer.

I bought it from original owner Tim, a guy who is pretty local to Vicious headquarters.

I sold it on Pinkbike to a guy who might have been in Mass. but I can't remember.

The one you describe sounds well traveled but I still don't think it's the same bike.

It was a really cool bike. A little funky on the geometry with a pretty short top tube.

I raced it once in a race held at Blue Mountain in Peekskill, NY called The Bottle Ride.

Rode my rigid Superfly AL last nite after work. Probably the last ride on it before the Top Fuel comes in early in the week.

I gotta say that rigid will re-learn ya how to pick a line!

My guess is I'll ride em both, but the 'new bike smell' of the Top Fuel will probably have me riding that a fair bit for a while.

The Don Bike is a world class partier, but this, this is Bluto from Animal House.
Rigid AND the same 29" diameter. Talkin' 'bout bmx on the moon.
