    Default MTB Storage Recommendations

Looking for storage options to utilize the bottle cage mount on my Hightower. It wonít fit a water bottle so trying to use the space to hold tube, tools, CO2, etc. Needs to be more compact than a water bottle cage/bottle.

Would the cageless tool keg from Fabric fit ?

Otherwise I suggest the EDC toolkit from Oneup that fit in your fork steerer. As for the tube ? Do you really need one ? Tubeless Plugs are really good ? A non butyl tube from turbolito or Eclipse is very compact and might be the ticket if space is an issue. I guess you could also tape it to the frame, I used to do that in marathon races.

You should be able to carry a bottle. You may need to experiment with which cage you use.

A lot of folks use the Specialized Zee cage. Arundel has the STR/DTR cages now. I run the Enve cage, which isn’t even a side-entry cage, on my Hightower and it works aok. You should be able to find something that works.

Add to that the fidlock twist system.

The newer water bottle from YT industries use the fidlock twist system and can carry up to 600ml in a very compact form factor :

Curious what size frame and what water bottle you are using?
