Guess I haven't posted this here - 650b Coconino hardtail with ceramic coating by RD Dale of Shawnee Trail Performance Coatings. I only have 4 photos of this bike, mostly because I've been too busy riding it. Thanks Steve!

Steve that is bad ass. When you and Alex ride together, do small animals stop and sing like in Snow White?

That's where Disney got the idea.

Did you lower that bike into the water ever so gently, or just wait 15min for the ripples to still before taking the photo? Great pic!

I can't remember... but I'm generaly not a rude person and neither very patient so I guess it's a bit of both.

    Thanks!

Ah fall in Quebec such a beautiful time.

Do you ever ride in the Charlevoix? Every time I drive through the Charlevoix on our way to see family out in Cote Nord I think how great the riding could be in the hills there.

    Hi Brian,

I rode my road bike in Charlevoix multiple times. I rode my MTB quite a bit at Baie Saint-Paul and at l'Isle-aux-coudres where my inlaws are living. There are a lot of hills but the trails are mainly quad trails so not super challenging but it's beautiful when we have the view on the St-Laurence river.

There's a mountain bike club now in this area so they probably will open new trails in the near future.

    Thanks!

My not often ridden Sycip Unleaded singlespeed. Custom designed for 69er wheel combo. Still loving this bike after many years. Only change I'd make is to swap on a modern 740mm bar. The XTR brakes are pretty timid so I can't trust bombing stuff on this bike. Rides like a dream and is still fast going up.

Nice! I spy the penny capped seat stays. I always wondered whether pennies with dates showing the year made were used...or just random pennies. Can you shed any light on that?

Jeremy will just use random pennies normally. Dimes on the road and cross frames I believe. You can request a year if you would like. I know people that have done their birth year.

I recall reading somewhere that they need to be older pennies (unsure of year) - something to do with amount of zinc in newer ones.

A recent shot of the rig. Most Torontonians will know the spot.
