Okay, now I officially hate you.

Here's my Sycip Classic Diet Unleaded. After getting hit by a car a few years back I had nothing to do but trawl eBay while I was healing. Then a roadie through-and-through, I found this bad boy and thus entered the world of MTB.

Yeah, it's got 26" wheels and v-brakes, but it shreds all kinds of the gnar.

There is a factory in Ohio that makes lots of mufflers and the OG Klein tubing. Erryday I'm tempted to order a coupla down and toptubes and make Das Futrebike from 1997.

^^ I had a Sycip once before it got stolen. Great ride and very stable on downhill straight away. However, I think the IF is better for switchback. Lots of fun either way.

All the gnar in Sisters has been shredded. by VertigoCycles, on Flickr

from my one, ONE trail ride this year. Made a rack for the motorbike, rode four hours in sub freezing temps through freezing fog to ride with some buddies in Bend. Got to pack it all up in the pouring rain and then spend some QT negotiating aggro pickup truck drivers in the snow over Santiam pass. It was the best weekend of 2013.

The only mountain bike I've swung a leg over since 2011.

5 minutes after initial build (note the tape for grips)

A few years and many miles later:

Next one is un-cut tubes in the box waiting for a fork and some acetylene. It will be "bendier" in the back side. Oh and IIRC the seatstay bridge there is a bit of shaft from a golf club, TrueTemper yo!

As promised, a better picture of my single speed along with a picture of the bike that gets neglected in favor of the single speed 9 out of 10 times.

Uncut brakelines until I'm sure everything is where I want it. Perfect fit for the Lefty and dropper post to swap in and out without a hiccup. I9/Derby wheels, Enve, White Industries, 650b.....all my favorite goodies
