I do believe in 26", say I'm wrong but that is. I'm a man with strong opinions!

Last baby was born 2 years ago, Scapin Blato. Built with an eye on reliability and an eye to the weight

The lightest one is the old Cinelli SoftMachine, now about 12yrs and provbed unsuitable for riding on British terrain with mud and roots... this bike is good on the hardpack and fast climbs

Then this gets hardly any use here. Was good back home as the town of cagliari has plenty of small hills and stairs and steps to keep you entertained for ages. Works fine on the dirt, too

    bikes I rode in 2013:

EnduroX! built this up for the first time since 2003- been riding the heck out of it since October

stripped-down gate banger! #2 for hours in 2013(spent most of the year shod with 2.2" mud spikes, shredding flat grass corners)

my '05 team bike, which probabally saw the most hours in 2013(note, if you work at a bike shop, email Alec at Mt. Snow for free season passes)

(on far right) #3 for 2013 hours, a 33# "dh" bike, but not too bad for 4 hour xc rides...

Main ride is an Xprezzo Super-D

    Bike as first built.

As it mostly gets ridden. Swapped out the 150mm Revelation for an older 150mm 36, added a Gravity Dropper and running front and rear 2.5 EXO Minnions.

In action racing the final stage at the Whistler round of the Enduro World Series.

Here's my first 29" MTB. Rode my Schwinn Homegrown for far too many years, but decided to build something new up. So far I'm loving the 29" and will probably go with a custom frame in the not too distant future.

Most of the parts came from ebay or Craigslist.

The drivetrain is predominantly X7 with a touch of X9 except for the crank. Went Deore on the crank as it was inexpensive and allowed me to try out a 170mm crank to help resolve some knee pain. I'm 6' but have only a 30" inseam. Always used 175s, but started feeling some knee pain this summer.

The ugly seat has been replaced with something a bit more visually appealing.

    really cool thread!

loving the nice variety of bikes here, from rigid SS machines to full on downhill sleds.

Here is my own, 1x10 29er:

Theres some awesome bikes on here. Mine is pretty basic, but it works well and I like the geometry. Some decent wheels should be built shortly. Its the blue one.

Riding in the alpine in Whistler can be pretty rad, the views are amazing.

A shot from a couple years back on the Peak of Whistler. A good friend Dan Barham asked me to be one of his riders for the Deep Summer Photo challenge, we got free range and special chair lift privileges. This was before the Top of The World trail was built (trail in the above shot).
