Betting big on my kiddo enjoying off-road riding...20 pound bike and 28x46 gearing means the only excuse for not getting up hills is motivation and fitness. Initial rides have been great, including a short and steep one 4 miles long with 500 feet of gain.

A front bag is so much better than a backpack or courier bag! And ILE makes a really nice bag for that combo. It's just a little too wide for my drop bar bike.
