@thollandpe How do you like the Wazia for traction and any slightly aggressive cornering? Are you using regular or studded ones?

Hey Tee Aitch - Quit teasing, where is the photo? Not shot showing for some of us.

Is the google messing with Veesalon? That's the second comment about google photos not all showing.

Oh good. And if there's one view of this bike that shows off Mr. Henry's attention to detail and eye for form, it's this one:

I see you've been putting that one to good use, Todd. Enjoy!

Got mine ready just before we got all that snow, then lost all that snow. Studs, longer and lower is the name of the game up here. And number plates. Those are very important.

No comparison to those 44's, but...

I picked up a Honzo (aluminum) last year, and after a period of serious buyers' remorse, have started to sync with it a little better of late. I really just needed to learn to go with the flow of this geometry rather than fight it to ride like my old XC bike...
So, now having decided to stick with it after 15 months, I figured new hoops were in order.
Astral Serpentine- the hubs are White Ind internals apparently. Combined with ditching the wire bead stock tires and going tubeless, I've dropped about 3 lb in total. Looking forward to seeing how it rides now.

(Also- First time setting up tubeless tires was not nearly as daunting as I'd made it out to be in my head...)

Matt, tubeless is the way to go. Ditto with the "trail" style SPDs.

It turns out that fat tires can boogie on non-frozen surfaces too.

I promise I had not originally intended to buy two mountain bikes this winter, let alone both brown, but sometimes you cannot help but go with the flow.

    - Chameleon: carbon, 1x11 XT, Astral wheels, 120mm Pike, dropper post. Light as hell, stiff too, and feels like what I wanted the Honzo to be from the get go.
    - Explosif (2014 NOS): steel, 1x10 SLX/XT, narrower bars. This was the "why not" purchase that will be good for lunchtime rides, rolling alongside the kids on the W&OD, and pulling a trailer/trail-a-bike for a couple more years, at which point I'll probably swap to SS, and maybe rigid fork. First ride on this one yesterday reminds me of being a kid riding a bike- just generic "bike" without thought to components, etc.
