This frame/fork turned 6yrs old last week. Doesn't seem like it's been that long! Still makes me smile like an idiot every time I ride it.

My current soon to be replaced ride. I can carry most of what I need for a week, minus food.

Just got this built up and riding over the last couple weeks. The frame and fork are really impressive and it's a drastic change in handling/geom for me so lots of fun learning how to ride all over again.

Somebody just "liked" this post. Just for the record this bike still rocks my world. It eats technical singletrack for breakfast. Drew keeps making newer designs, innovates the industry. We surely do dig that.

He was talking about the minivan, not the bike.

Nope, I've been VTT-free for about 7 years now but just took receipt of my new Field 29er so I'm looking to shred. Got any recommendations near Marseille/Aix? I've spotted endless trails from the road that I'm exploring, but really just spitballing here.

    Ventabren:

I would start here: I grew up in "les Bon fils" below the plateau in which there are great trails and there used to be a race there (not sure anymore- but 15 years ago they did): trails are a mix of double and single track.
There is even a motocross track that i have ridden on bike/moto which is sort of fun if you like super steep loose rock descents.

I am actually looking for a few places to hit this summer/early fall to hit.

Swapped the 32 Talas out this season for a 34 Float with the new FIT4 damper. HUGE improvement. That fork just mows through stuff.
