Reminds me of the Pacenti P-Dent stuff, where the bar basically has a dent so it doesn't hit the steerer tube.

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?

curious, how tall is the rider for which that bike was designed? I get the forward geo thing but holy moley that reach is long! are any of the following true?
    1. this bike is made for a very tall person.
    2. the short stem and setback (?) of the handlebar mean that the grips ends up not quite as far out there as it first seems.
    3. it's just really friggin long and a rider would have to ride it to understand how it feels.

edit- nevermind, at 5'10", you're a an inch taller than me.

    And, welcome to V'Salon @pvd!

I'm a long time reader of your blog as well. And have some of the dropouts you designed on FF509. Great stuff!

Cool looking bike and an interesting take on how to get a shorter stem. How much difference do you feel compared to a normal 35mm stem?

Stem length isn't a driving parameter in design.

Why are all pink bikes in Fairfax associated with 666?

Interesting solution to get what you want. How does it ride?

It's pretty amazing. Going to work this method into a new narrow gauge bike.

    Wow- so cool.
There must be something in the water in Fairfax- some great bike designers in that part of the world. (After I read your post it made me think of Cunningham)

The bar stem combo- that is so bad ass.
