We have done this a couple times. Pretty good recipe, our technique needs refining.

Looks spot on. I *think* this is achievable using a heavy pot/pan on a stovetop when camping. I'll give it a shot.

Not like it’s rocket science. I’m thinking an iron skillet would be preferable, as it would be easier to flip.

Rolling the pita out pretty thin help a bunch. We do them on a medium+ hot iron comal style skillet. Flat skillet with no sides. Heat one side until you see the bubbles come up, look for good browning, flip and finish.

You mean a crepe' pan? LOL I got it. I've had bad luck in the past. It is a new day.

We are having friends over for dinner this evening and Mrs. RW is making short ribs cooked in red wine and the call for fresh bread was placed on Wednesday. 90/10 AP/WWW dusted with white poppy seeds...slice pics to follow after dinner.

You have a way of raising the bar on most things, mostly bread, food and bike pics! I have been off my bike and baking. Need to do more of both.

Bread, barley, beans, bacon, bourbon and bikes. Mike...get your arse back on the bike and back in the kitchen...you’re retired and you need to set a good example for all of us.

This boule will be dropped off at a friend’s house later this morning...French country loaf made with a poolish starter...pretty serious oven spring and I even made some deep cuts.

no pics sorry, but when in Austria every Friday a local lady delivers some loaves of full corn bread to the Lagerhaus, a practical place where the local chaps get their nuts and bolts and so on. It is a strange but excellent place in many ways. I try to get down early, as it sells out fast, and so the bread, a bit of butter, some honey and coffee can get us going in the mornings. And of course the local honey will immunise you from pollen when that season returns in the spring.
