Default Paul Racers + SRAM Rival Brake Levers

Is this the most optimal setup? Given I really do not want to give up the brakes or SRAM what are my best options?

This is a mixed use bike setup using Compass Bon Jon's

Second option is to use a set of NOS Ultegra Center Pull brakes with the SRAM Rival brake levers.

    Pull ratio is close enough

Seeing as you donít want to relent on lever or caliper Iíd run that and deal with it

Cane Creek levers with the quick release a-la Campy (with the embossed rubber lizards), plus eTap blips, plus Paul Racers would be amazing.

You need MAFAC levers & straddle carriers.
Any good LBS will have piles of them underneath the 3rd workbench
from the door on the 2nd floor.
    Rustines makes new hoods.

I have 10spd Red levers and Paul Racers on my Zank. Works great.

Thanks, I don't think they are awful. I've got them setup on Mrs. Tall's Bedford. She has been riding gravel and wanted a gut check I'm not missing something. I'm using Swissstop pads which are about as good as you can get. It is one he!! of a perfect bike for mixed terrain so I'd like her to stick with it. Hand strength is never not a worry when the day gets longer off road.

What would they be built for if not road levers ??

The pull ratio on about anything up to V-brakes or cable actuated discs plays just fine with a standard road pull.

    You're good

Pull ratio between road brakes is almost imperceptible unless you ride various calipers on the same levers back to back
