Wow. Sick. That's probably the most complete set I've ever seen. Nice score!

I got all kinds of new stuff today. Finally broke down and got a surface plate 24x18 and while I was at it figured I should get a height gauge and some V blocks and other accessory kind of stuff. Now I've got to find a place to put it cause I'm not moving it more than once, damn things 120 pounds.

a day late, but i wanted to profess the awesomeness of a new tool i just got. another forum member turned me on to these and they rock. fix it sticks. best portable tool i've found. come in a nice small rubber case made of an inner tube and tremendously useful. these are a new must-have in the jersey pocket.

(excuse the general google pictures, real ones to follow)

I ordered a set of the replaceable bit ones off their recent kickstarter. I'm stoked to get them and have a minimalist multi-tool that has only what i need and nothing that i dont.

I also put in for a pair of the replacement bit ones. Hope they actually ship before mid May.

This past weekend I was having to pack my tools in and out of the expo at Sea Otter. Sure was glad that I'd made this slick titanium hammer. Every pound out of that tool box was much appreciated. ESI grip on the end does a great job of curbing vibration. I thought I'd never make another one of these but after this weekend I've got a feeling I'll be doing a limited run of them.

So it has some compliance. Nice. Is it laterally stiff enough though, so you can hit the same spot twice? That's my issue with hammers. They are all too flexy and I'm seem to miss the nail every 2nd swing.

Can't say I've ever had that problem with a hammer. The handle is 7/8" and with the grip on there it's got a good feel so it was easy to control. Granted the only thing it'll ever get used for is knocking bearings out and some other light duty tasks.

It wouldn't have anything to do with bad aim, now would it?

Nothing I would freely admit to. My old man used to call me lightning which I used to think was a compliment when I was younger.

Missed getting a pic of these uploaded for a bit. Got these last week. Have not had a chance to use them yet, not sure how stoked I am on them, they feel a touch under size and sloppy on the stem bolts I fiddled with.

Okay I take back the undersized comment. I used the 8mm to remove a set of Race Face cranks from a frame then test fit them on-off several times on a frame I am building and it's solid.

I wish they had a 2.5mm. In the mtb world most everyone runs lock on grips and the little bolt it 2.5mm. It was the one item I that these didn't cover in tearing down a bike.

This is a nice tool to have. I can tell you from experience, however, it's a mistake to mount the machine without a drip tray. If you are just adding a mm or two of threads, you can get away without. When you are rolling a full 9mm you can expect jamming without liberal lube compared to 100% success (literally zero jams) with liberal lube. YMMV but I found a drip tray well worth the effort. Like you, I installed my Morizumi in a tight spot. I found a loaf pan fit my installation better than the cookie sheet Ric recommends.

Very nice Jason. The Morizumi is the nicest spoke cutter I've used and I'm a huge fan of the EVT stuff too. I use one of those for welding out my frames and consider Brett to be a friend.
