it's a real bummer. Carbon is super hard on tools so it fucks stuff up. As always, some brands are better than others

no so much the thrust of this forum, but entry level alloy frames with flat mount may supplant cheap alloy frames with bb30 as the worst thing going right now. Nothing says fuck your industry quite like needing to use an (at cheapest) $500 tool to face the mounts on a bike where you stand to make $300 total if you are lucky. Let alone the labour costs associated with the building and frame finishing for said bike.

More in line with this thread- my PB Swiss 4mm sliding t handle is biting the dust. The tool interface is fine, but I seem to have chipped one of the stops on the 't'. I really only use it for brake adjusts, and was wondering if people have any experiences with other ones. I don't care about a full set, and to be honest I'll probably just buy another one to replace it if it bothers me too much.

Have about 10 years into a set of beta 951s and they’ve been great. The 5mm developed rust on the tips inside my race box, probably my fault for getting it wet and leaving it packed up for too long but no functional problems. I only have 4-8 and t25.

I haven’t had to touch cheap flat mount bikes for at least a year thankfully but the moral dilemma there was almost too much to handle

Ended being stuck at home last week after a known covid exposure and had to get two negative tests back before I was allowed to travel for work again. So ended up making a tool rack to hold shock pumps / air tools / inflaters etc for my repair stand out of some scrap aluminum angle I had laying around. Also ended up ordering a bunch more Huot drill indexes so finally have the full collection sorted out in one spot.
