    I was just wondering why the handle of the Crombie lockring tool is not made to fit inside a 12mm T/A hub.
    Surely, they sell their own T/A adapters for truing stand, but it would be good if you could use the lockring tool as T/A adapter (or to hold the chain in the frame) in a pinch...

    Plane

    Stanley No. 62 low angle jack plane. I'm still learning how to drive this thing but it's already producing useable results.

    And yes, I am using it to make parts for bicycles. It might just be the first time one of these has been used for that purpose in 115 years.

    I have bought a few of the high end modern Stanley planes (not the No. 62) and really like them. Most of mine were quickly "borrowed" by my son who is a professional woodworker.

    Too funny, I just purchased a low angle jack plane this week. It's been a revelation. I'd been using just a block plane for everything, kinda like going on a road ride on the box store hybrid, you can make it work, but there are better tools for the job.
